The villa is a 30-minute drive from Phuket International Airport. Car hire outlets are available at the airport including Avis. Bangkok is just over an hour away. Similar flight times will take you Kuala Lumpur and Singapore and the historic island of Penang is within easy reach.

Phuket town with its excellent selection shops, restaurants and cinema is also a short drive.

Patong with its popular beach and lively nightlife is 25 minutes away along the coast.

The Amanpuri, one of the world’s most exclusive hotels, is a mere 5 minutes drive.

A little further is the Phuket Laguna with its luxurious hotels and restaurants including the Sheraton Laguna and the famous Banyan Tree Hotel and spa.

Golf: The Phuket Laguna has an excellent golf course but the Loch Palm, Black Canyon and Phuket Country Club are all within easy reach.

Boat enthusiasts will find every type of craft available at the Boat Lagoon, just 20 minutes away on the other side of the island. From here you can explore the magical array of islands and weird rock formations that have featured in many movies including James Bond’s The Man With the Golden Gun and more recently The Beach staring Leonardo di Caprio.

PADI-approved dive shops are near at hand and spectacular dives can be arranged.

Superb restaurants are within easy reach. As well as Thai food, you can enjoy Italian, French, Japanese and many other types. And the restaurants range from smart exotic settings to casual dining, often with a sea-view.

The popular and spectacular Phuket FantaSea show is a 10 minute drive.

Two large supermarkets in the vicinity offer nearly everything you might be missing from home as well as local produce but don’t forget to visit the local markets where you can bargain for wonderfully fresh fish, fruit and vegetables.
